Settlement Authority

In order to engage in meaningful settlement discussions and work toward a timely resolution of your case, we need your settlement authority.

This is the lowest total amount you are willing to accept to resolve your claims. The number you provide should reflect the total amount you wish to receive personally.

Please include in this figure any out-of-pocket legal fees or costs you have already paid and wish to recover. Do not include any unpaid legal fees. We will account for those expenses separately as part of any settlement discussions.

If there are any additional terms you require (for example, future repairs, loan payoff, or other conditions), please include them. If any portion of your damages is ongoing or may increase over time, please note the date through which your settlement authority is valid (the “End Date”).

You retained counsel for a reason. We will use your authority to negotiate strategically and pursue the most favorable outcome available based on the facts and applicable law.

Client Information
Recurring or Increasing Amounts

If any amount increases at a specific rate over time, please indicate that here. Please use the Damages Form (Section 2: Recurring Losses) to describe each recurring loss you have. By noting it here, we'll incorporate these increasing losses as we move forward, making your total settlement authority (below) increase along with them at the same rate.

Recurring losses include things such as monthly loan payments, quarterly premium payments, storage fees, etc.

Please check the box that applies
My settlement authority DOES include one or more recurring or increasing losses, which I have described on the Damages Form (Section 2: Recurring Losses).
My settlement authority does NOT include any recurring or increasing loss.
